The Echo Park room is a standalone building on Glendale Boulevard, and walking up to it is part of why people come. Inside, the polished concrete runs unbroken from the seating through to the coffee bar, with plain wood furniture set against it. Late in the day the windows throw wide patches of golden light across the floor, which is the version of this room that ends up on everybody's camera roll. The matcha is a short list done properly: a latte and a matcha misto. Andante Coffee Roasters is behind the counter side, so the espresso is worth a second visit on its own. There is outdoor seating and the wifi is quick, which makes it a working room as much as a weekend one. We go late in the afternoon for the light.
