The Manhattan Beach cafe opened on September 10, 2021 as Verve's first beachfront location in Southern California, at the top of the downtown beachfront stretch on Manhattan Beach Boulevard. Colby Barr tied it back to the beginning, saying Verve started as a beachfront space in Santa Cruz and the team had been waiting for the right Southern California property to open up. The cafe is comfortably compact and open plan, with an outdoor pick up window for anyone already heading to the sand. That window is the detail we like most here, because it turns a matcha into something you can carry down the hill toward the sand. The shared matcha menu is poured in full, so the hand whisked Usucha, the Matcha 1 and 1, the Matcha Cortado, the Matcha Cappuccino, the Matcha Latte and the Matcha Americano are all available, and doors open at 7am daily.
