The Koreatown room is on West 8th, and it splits its day in two: a normal cafe through the middle of the day, then closed for a couple of hours, then open again into the night. The theming is The Office, done lightly. Couches, house music, and pictures of Dwight and Jim where a normal cafe would hang something abstract. After dark the lights go soft and red and the whole room changes register. The matcha is ceremonial grade and the board is long: ube and matcha together, a strawberry, a banana cream, a plain latte and a matcha einspanner. Sparkling nonalcoholic cocktails run alongside, and the cakes in a cup come in ube matcha or strawberry shortcake or tiramisu. Free parking makes it easy to get to, which in this neighborhood settles a lot of arguments. We use it as the after-dinner option and take the ube matcha.
