Onescape sits inside Vermont Plaza, on the corner of Vermont Avenue and 4th Street, which puts it on one of the busiest thoroughfares in the entire city and a block from Wilshire. That location is the point. The cafe was built as a sweet escape from the noise outside it, and the calm beige interior with its small outdoor seating area does exactly that job for anyone coming off the Vermont Corridor. Signature cream tops carry the menu, matcha cream among them, and the blueberry matcha, the Nutty Twist and the Cloud Pop peach tea with its blue foam are the three to know. Being a strip mall room means parking is straightforward, which in Koreatown is worth as much as the drinks. Open eight until nine every day, so this is the neighborhood matcha we reach for when everything else has shut.
