The Beverly Hills room is branded Maru Espresso Bar on North Canon, and the name is a fair warning: this is the compact format, built around the counter. That makes it a stop instead of a stay, which suits the block it is on. Maru's own announcement says this location's menu is composed only of espresso-based drinks, so the matcha served at Los Feliz and Arts District is not listed here. Coming from the same Glassell Park roastery as everything else, the coffee holds up, and the shelf carries the Sanmi Blend for anybody who wants to take the house blend home. We use it as the reset button in the middle of a Beverly Hills errand run, and the espresso menu is the point.
