Rose Avenue puts this one within walking distance of the beach and a block or two from Abbot Kinney, which is a different context for a coffee this involved. The rotating roaster wall and the seasonal builds come across unchanged, and the current matcha menu carries the strawberry latte, hot and iced matcha lattes, and hot and iced Military lattes. It keeps shorter hours than the other three and closes earlier in the evening, so a late-afternoon plan needs checking first. Of the four, we would fold this one into a day that was already heading west.
