Alfred is on Admiralty Way in Marina del Rey, opening at 6:30 am, close enough to the water that the walk afterwards is the reason to come. The Marina fills early on a weekend and the cafe catches that traffic. An iced matcha by the boats is our idea of a good Sunday, and this is the Alfred that delivers it. The iced matcha americano, matcha whisked with water over ice, travels better than a latte if you are walking the basin.
