The Scoop
Alfred sits in the lobby of the Line Hotel on Wilshire, open since August 13, 2018. The opening menu carried a matcha shot served in a freshly cracked coconut, which remains the most Alfred thing the brand has ever put on a board. We love that this one lives inside a hotel lobby, because it means the room was designed by somebody else and Alfred had to fit itself in. Doors open at 6:30 am. The full matcha lineup is here, from the plain hot and iced lattes through the POG Matcha and the Matchaga with its chaga and lion's mane, plus the Boost protein version built on grass-fed whey or vegan pea protein.
