Alfred came to North Figueroa in Highland Park, opening at 6:30 am on a stretch that has turned into one of the most walkable coffee runs in northeast Los Angeles. The block rewards arriving without a car. Highland Park is our favorite neighborhood on this list to spend a morning in, and Alfred fits the street well. The matcha lineup is the full one, the POG Matcha and the strawberry latte on housemade syrup among them. The iced matcha americano is the one to get if you plan to keep walking up Figueroa afterwards.
